Welcome to post 7 of my 100 day challenge. Checkout my introduction for some background. This is my 100 day challenge 2015 end of week 1 update.
Today marks the end of my first week taking part in the 100 day challenge. Here is my summary of the end of week 1. I can admit now that it has been hard keeping it up so far. It has been an absolute chore finding the time to write a post each day as well as holding up a full time job and trying to keep my family entertained. There have been times where I have thought about writing several in advance and scheduling them but I haven’t found the time to plan, write and edit more than one post again. Besides it would probably be cheating as then I wouldn’t be writing a post a day. To be honest I have made it easier for myself by planning in end of week and quarterly updates therefore reducing the number of actual posts I have to write.
One thing that I can confidently say has been beneficial is just getting round to the act of writing. It is a great feeling pushing Publish on a post and knowing you have knocked another day off your list and ground one more towards the 100 total.
The one thing that has worried me before and during this challenge is that I wouldn’t be able to find enough content to fill 100 consecutive posts. After all I had only managed 156 posts during the three years previous that this blog has been alive. The interesting thing is when you have the pressure of publishing on your shoulder it is amazing how the ideas come to you and your mind flows through your finger tips as you write. I try to get each post to be around 300 words long as this seems to be a reasonable amount for visitors to read.
I look forward to the next week of writing even though I feel like I have dried up all of my ideas for posts. Keep checking back over the next 93 days for more interesting posts on this blog.
Before I hit publish I thought I’d give you all an update on yesterdays build a budget gaming PC post. I went ahead and purchased these items from Amazon. They should start being delivered from Wednesday 15th of April. I’ll post an update when they arrive and if I find time I’ll write up the build process.
Can you improve on any of the tips I’ve discussed here? If you can let me know in the comments.
