DoPDF is a free PDF converter that allows you to print from a document to a PDF as you would any printer but the difference is it will generate a PDF as output and you will be able to save it to wherever you want. Below is my tutorial detailing how to convert a word document to PDF using DoPDF. The same instructions apply no matter what document you have and what software you are using.
Download and install DoPDF from here.
When installed open the document you want to printer and choose DoPDF as your printer:
In the next dialog that pops up press browse and choose where you want the pdf to be saved to:
Then press Save and press ok to print the pdf.
The pdf will then be opened in your default pdf reader:
