Mute sound on a remote computer

I needed to mute sound on a remote computer. I managed to do it by piecing together the command below:

Download nircmd and copy over to remote computer via the c$ share.
Download pstools and run psexec via command line and pass the following command:

psexec \\computername "c:\nircmd.exe" mutesysvolume 1

Great stuff and it works. You can change 1 to 0 to unmute.

Can you improve on any of the tip I’ve discussed here? If you can let me know in the comments.
