Find your computer name in Windows

To get your computer Name via the Windows GUI:

Click on the Start Menu. Right Click on My Computer->Click Properties. In the Dialogue that appears click on the “Computer Name” tab and email me the computer name from the “Computer Name” field.

To get your computer Name via the Windows command line:

Click on Start->Run and type in CMD and press <enter>

or in Windows Vista or later press Start and type in CMD then press <enter>

When the windows command prompt pops up type in “hostname” and press enter. Your computers name will appear underneath.
