Call of Duty is a first person shooter released in 2003. It doesn’t natively support widescreen resolutions due to its age, but you can get it to support them by following the instructions below:
Go to the folder where you installed Call of Duty.
By default this will be C:\Program Files\Call of Duty for 32bit windows or C:\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty for 64bit windows. Then open the Main Folder and open config_mp.cfg in notepad or NotePad++ (recommended).
Make the following changes:
- seta r_customaspect “1” change 1 to 16.
- seta r_customheight “” (This should be set to your required resolution height).
- seta r_customwidth “” (This should be set to your required resolution width).
Start Call of Duty and get playing.
